![]() ![]() Loretta Chikani aka Chase is simply the best writer of historical romance, hands down, bar none. As usual, she brings depths of feeling to it all and it was very genuine and sweet in the end. It was refreshing to read Chase write a simpler, but no less exciting, romance. They are so unlike most of her other couples-not carrying huge emotional burdens, just two people dealing with an attraction that turns into love, surprising them both. ![]() Longmore and Sophie really grew on me with second and third readings. And L Chase was in very fine form as a writer with this series. I love the Dressmaker series because they are full of historical details and have wonderful settings, secondary characters and plots. ![]() it is even more enjoyable after reading Dukes Prefer Blondes and knowing what eventually happens with Clara. I enjoyed this installment of the Dressmakers much more than the first one. ![]()
